Which types of businesses does Up2 Money restrict?

Up2 Money builds infrastructure for businesses to embed financial services. While most types of companies can embed banking services with Up2 Money, some aren't allowed to. This decision has nothing to do with whether we "like" or "dislike" a certain industry. We're open to the idea of opening up our service to more industries in the future! However, we're not currently set up to support businesses that pose a risk to Up2 Money or its partners (brand risk, financial risk, or otherwise).

Furthermore, we must uphold the requirements of the payment networks and institutions that help us run (like Mastercard), as well as the laws of each country we operate in.

Examples of industries we cannot work with:
  1. Weapons and defense material providers
  2. Adult content and services
  3. Illicit narcotics
  4. Online and offline gambling
  5. Trading and custody of crypto assets
  6. Mixing of crypto assets
  7. Extractive industries (mining, coal, oil, natural gas, etc.)
  8. Palm oil production
  9. Precious stones, gems, and jewels
  10. Industry chemicals
  11. Tobacco
  12. Money remittance, currency exchange, FOREX
  13. Online bartering
  14. Religious activities
  15. Off-shore company services providers and domiciliation businesses
  16. Non-licensed payment services providers
  17. Street vendors
  18. Cash transfers
